I think these four are trying to copy their German cousins don’t you? Donkey, dog and cat are ok, but it should of course be a cockerel not a duck, but I haven’t got one!

Great Spotted Woodpeckers from my collection of 1920s-30s wooden toys. This pair are 4mm high and this time do not have movable wings.

Male looking for his mate. These 1920’s-30’s birds have movable wings and as you can see from this angle, they are very flat with applied wings. He measures 3 inches from tip of his beak to the end of his tail and this one is marked Made in England on the bottom.
